WFMW: Spring Has Sprung - Fashion Edition

Yesterday, the temperatures inched up to a beautiful 65 degrees!  Hallelujah and shed the turtlenecks!!  When I rifled through my closet to find something appropriately springy to wear, I thought maybe I could share with you what works for me--my 3 favorite spring must-haves--that are inexpensive and easy-to-find...in hopes that your fashion transition to spring is just delightful:

 

1.  The White Cardigan - Nothing spruces springs up an outfit easier than a basic white cardigan.  Mine is cable-stitch, and has already lasted over 2 years.

 

Here's the great thing about a spring white cardigan:  If you have no idea what to wear, throw on a pair of jeans with a colored t-shirt or tank--with a white cardigan on top.  Instantly you have an outfit that says Classic!  Spring!  Breezy!  Pretty!  (Do your clothes talk to you like  this...or is it just me?)

 

When you hear the words, "basic white cardigan," don't you automatically think--"Lands End???"  I sure do!  And Lands End rarely disappoints me. 

 

But--please--for my sake, wear more color with your white cardigan than this poor lady...  Or, at least a sassy scarf around your neck!

 

Ooh la la!   Check this one out from Old Navy.  This one is so feminine!  Subtle rosettes, you are softly calling out my name...  Even though this cardigan is not exactly white, it is pale enough to be worn the same as white.  I love it!!!

 

 

If the Gap is accurately describing this cardigan, then you HAVE to buy this one--it is the ULTIMATE cardigan.  Makes me feel like the cardigans I already own just won't cut it any more... 

 

2.  A Lovely Scarf - You must know by now that I am a little obsessed with scarves.  Even though they can be dangerous around the house...they do add instant punch to an outfit.  And, heaven knows, my outfits need all the punch they can get!

Oh, but my FAVORITE pink scarfis this one!  And it's ON SALE for $10--hellooo!!!   I know I am too old to shop at Aeropostale...but I'll just pretend I'm buying for my daughter!

 

And who doesn't love a little bling in her scarf?  A little metallic stitch?  Yes, please!

 

3.  A Cute Necklace - Nothing pretties up a colored t-shirt faster than a cute necklace.  I am loving the colorful choices this Spring!

 

 

 

Oh, I just love all the colors in this cascading color beads necklace from Forever 21.  Pair it with a plain black tee for some fun sophistication, or with a bright color to say, "Hey, I'm a lot of fun!"  And at $7.80--you can AFFORD to be that kind of fun!

 

 

I am a sucker anytime I see the word "crystal."  This crystal and leather necklace from American Eagle is no exception!  My crystal ball tells me that this necklace would liven up ANY spring t-shirt or tank!  Pair that t-shirt with a simple twirly skirt and some flip flops, and you are the picture of relaxed charm! 

 

I have to be honest...I could spend a lot of money on necklaces at Old Navy right now.  Wow, how to choose just one? 

Pair it with practically ANY colored t-shirt or tank, and that turquoise slash of color is a little party around your neck! 

 

Now, grab your purse and keys, and head on out to one of these stores!  But, wait!  Don't forget your darling children.  That just wouldn't do.
