Oh me, oh my, I can hardly believe I am ABLE to reveal our daughter's 10th Birthday Room Makeover!!! I believe it was St. Patrick's Day that I told you I had made our VERY FIRST purchases for this project! Whew! What a couple of weeks it has been!
And, to top it off, if you've been reading for long, you remember that I was already in the MIDDLE of our Master Bedroom Makeover on a Shoestring Budget. Aaaaaahhhh! Why do I not check the calendar before starting major projects? Surely I would have noticed that our daughter's 10th birthday was coming up before starting on the Master Bedroom? Surely!
Oh well...at least at the end of all of my insanity, we will have 2 pretty bedrooms to admire (and sleep in)!
So, without further adieu, let me give you my disclaimers. (Rule #1: On MarytheKaytheBlog, there are ALWAYS disclaimers!)
1. I painted the room (with my mom's help!!) on Monday and Tuesday.
2. Started feeling LOUSY on Tuesday...Felt lousiER on Wednesday and went to bed (after making 3 very important pickups:)
3. Because I got sick in the middle of the week, several projects did not get completed...I hope to have a FUN custom bulletin board completed by the end of this week, as well as a desk chair. I also hope to have 2 new lamps (larger lamps) purchased soon... There is also a fun artwork project our daughter is working on for the wall over the bed.

Ready for the new and improved room fit for a 10-year-old??? We're talking a creative girl who knew exactly what she wanted in a room--bright color, fun, and lots of polka dots!
(Yeah, speaking of the polka dots...you should know that little miss birthday girl found the package of wall polka dots...and decided to use the WHOLE package...as opposed to the tiny bit her mama intended to use. Oh well, I figure this is helping with my OCD control issues!! It is HER room, right? Breathe in, breathe out....)
(Don't look at the bottom of the curtains...I SAID DON'T LOOK! I know, I know...I have to re-hang BOTH sets...I have no idea why I hung them wrong the first time...Could have something to do with midnight and sleepy, though.)
These flowers just make me smile.

If you'll stop by tomorrow, I'll try to write up all the specifics of the room--where I purchased everything, room color, etc. Also, I want to tell you about the BEST fabric store EVER. And I'm not even exaggerating (which is unusual for me--ask my husband!)
