Please forgive the shameful bragging ahead. I just can't help myself for 2 reasons:
1. I think my daughters are beautiful--inside and out
2. I think all ballerinas are beautiful and wonderful
Tonight, our daughters participated in their dance recital. This recital was especially poignant for this sentimental mama...because my daughters promise me it will be their last one...and because Rebecca has waited her entire life to make it to the level in ballet to take pointe. This year, she finally made it. It was not an easy class for her--and I was beaming with pride as I saw her dance across the floor in her graceful satin pointe shoes.
Here are a few snapshots of 2 pretty ballerinas their daddy and I are especially proud of...
She may look like pure sweetness here...but if you look closely at her fingernails, you'll see there's some sass mixed in!
Ah. My graceful girl teetering on the edge of young womanhood. Sometimes I'm glad she doesn't realize how beautiful she is...
Here's our mini ballerina! Her smile on stage just made me happy.
Here's the cute tapper
These girls LOVED being in class together! Such cutie pies.
May she always extend grace as lovely as this pose...
I wish my camera had caught this pretty leap clearer
And a couple of Pointe class pictures...
Rebecca's in the middle. Aren't they lovely young ladies?
Look who came to see the recital! Nana and Pops!!!
These pictures just make me happy.
Look who else came to see the recital-- my sweet friend Carissa!
This mama is tucking away these memories...
Thank you for indulging me in some sappy sentimentality today. Daughters and ballerinas do it to me every single time.
