Let's hear it for a Thursday THREE!!! Who Hoo!
(Am I the only one cheering here? Well, it sure wouldn't be the first time!)
For today's Thursday THREE, I thought I would pass on my current 3 favorite cleaning products. I'd LOVE to hear what your favorite products are, too! An OCD girl loves to chat cleaning products, ya know!
*GUILTY DISCLOSURE* - Just because I am telling you about my favorite cleaning products in no way means that my house is spic and span clean... Uhm, I'm not posting any pictures right now...but I will tell you that it is a "little" untidy... Clean, but *cough* untidy.
There! I feel better now...
1. Clorox Bleach Tablets- Okay, I think these are actually called Clorox Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner...but to me, that name suggests a contraption that includes batteries and a price tag of the low, low price of $19.99. So, I just call them bleach tablets--cause you know--that's what they are. Just plop one in the tank of the toilet, and ta da! She scrubs your toilet every time you flush! And, no weird blue water, either. Plus, I just feel so HAPPY, knowing my nasty toilet is getting bleached every time I flush. Flush--FRESH! Flush--CLEAN! Flush--HAPPY!
Now, for the Blog Full Disclosure Act of 1974, I will tell you that as I was searching for a picture to include, I did see some discussion about how bleach can be harmful to the flapper and rubber stoppers inside the tank--especially in toilets that are not flushed every day. I just put my fingers in my ears at that point and said, "La la la la la, can't hear you..." because for me, the cleanliness far outweighs the small percentage of might erode over time... You decide for yourself. But, let me tell you--these little suckers MAY just change your life!!! Or...change the rings around your toilet....
2. Dawn Direct Foam- This is the dishiest soap I have found!! One pump provides millions of tiny cleaning bubbles. I actually only counted to 1,325 one time...but there were TONS left that I didn't count. I love that one pump into a pan of greasy water is all it takes! Also, since I am IGG--Instant Gratification Girl--this soap TOTALLY plays into those impatient feelings of wanting those bubbles RIGHT NOW. I love the smell of this soap, as well as its texture. (Do I sound weird talking about a soap's texture? Do you other OCD people know what I mean?)
I do buy the refills, instead of replacing the pump every time. This seems to save money, which keeps my husband happy! And around here, a happy husband usually helps with the dishes. *smile*
3. Shark Steam Pocket Mop- I got this mop for Christmas, and LOVE it!!! We have laminate floors in most of our house (except bedrooms), so I have a lot of floors to clean. This little purple pal does the job! I was worried that I would have to stop and refill the water tank, but that has not been an issue at all. The cord is pretty long...I only have to re-plug once to reach all the areas of my house. Make sure you get the Pocket Mop, as opposed to the regular Steam Mop. The "pocket" part refers to the mop head cover actually going all the way around the mop head, instead of just velcroing on the bottom. With the Pocket Mop, you can actually flip the mop head over halfway through, and have a new clean surface to mop with.
I used to mop our floors with a mixture of vinegar and water. I always hated moping right before company--because of the stinky vinegar smell. Now, I can steam away just minutes before company--and no one's any the wiser!
Now, I'd love to hear about YOUR current favorite cleaning products?
