Today's breakfast for 80 went well! We all survived...Mean Mama has relinquished her role for now, thank goodness. I'm keeping today's post short and sweet. Cause in order to keep Mean Mama at bay, she does need her sleep.
I wanted to share 3 links that I enjoyed this week. The first is from a favorite blog of mine--The Velveteen Mind. Megan's post about the Writing Process is beautifully written, and made me think about why I write and how I write...What does it make you think about? You should poke around in Megan's blog a while. She is an amazing writer!! Like, intimidatingly so.
Okay, is it getting embarrassing yet how often I link to Stuff Christians Like? This post just made me giggle...especially the part about "doesn't own a purse dog." That Jonathan Acuff is one funny fella.
Now, on to the wake-up call. Wow, this story will chill you to the bone, and make you want to wrap your arms around your own precious children. You have to click over and read about Anne Jackson's Blogging from the Dark series about Sex Trafficking in East Europe and Russia. Reading this story will make you want to DO SOMETHING...which is (what I am hoping) what I bet Anne is leading up to in upcoming posts.
