Happy Mother's Day Weekend, all! I went to bed last night thinking I wouldn't post any linky dinks this weekend...trying to give myself the weekend off, I was. But, today, I just can't help myself. I just really wanted to post a couple of links.
One is very funny, and will make all you van driving Mamas feel SO COOL and HIP for driving a minivan... Maybe you've already seen this commercial written by the BRILLIANT Toyota marketers. I betcha $1,000 you can't help but do a little dance while watching.
(Disclaimer: You know I don't have $1,000 to be giving away on this blog! If I had $1,000 I would be at a spa today...on the beach...in Maui...sipping an icy drink by the pool...being waited on by a Cabana Boy...Oh, wait! Back to reality. In other words, you ain't getting no money--just dance along for free and have yourself a jolly good time.)
I read this story this week (found it listed on Sorta Crunchy's always thoughtful blog, under her "Good Reading" section,) and it really resonated with something I wrote about my mom yesterday in a little Mother's Day tribute to her. Sparkle with Self-Forgetfulness--isn't that a beautiful concept? I love it! Please read about it--it might just change the way you think about being Christ-like in everyday life. Lovely! As you read--make sure you get to the "spah-kle" part! I think I may change the way I say the word "sparkle" forever!!
