What do a plastic basket, a glass jar, and a plastic bin all have in common???
They are FUN, and USEFUL gift wrapping containers!!! Why wrap a baby gift (or any gift, for that matter!) in an ordinary gift sack when you can add PUNCH and PIZAZZ by "wrapping" it in a cool container?
Here are 3 ideas for creative--and fast--baby gifts that I have purchased recently. Surely, by now you have read about my Walmart Love... But, if you haven't, let me just say that I never seem to have enough time to get everything done. Whenever I need to purchase a gift, it always helps if I can purchase it quickly--as I am already doing my grocery shopping at Walmart.
Fast, creative, thoughtful, and inexpensive are my favorite words when buying a gift for someone! And since I don't want my gift to LOOK LIKE it was fast and inexpensive...I try to find creative and thoughtful ways to put gifts together.
1. Jar 'o Bathtime Basics - Oh, how I love these jars! Let me count the ways... (Did you see the teacher gift I made in one of these puppies?) Inside this beautiful, ever-stylish glass jar is contained:
Rubber Duckie, presiding over all bathtime activities contained within
Set of baby washcloths (bought the girl pack of 6)
Set of Johnson's Baby Shampoo/Bath products
Yellow polka dot ribbon - because polka dots make everything cuter!
"Sweet Baby" gift tag - just to amp it up a little!
See what I mean? Quick, Easy, Breezy...Beautiful!!!
2. Basket 'o Baby Basics - I have to be honest...when I was at the store purchasing this gift, I could not remember if the baby shower invitation said boy or girl...So I really needed to purchase an either/or gift. When I got home, I saw that a baby girl would receive it, so I girlified it with the pink tissue paper and bow. Oh, I really love the yellow plastic basket! I could see this being used to organize and/or transport baby toys in the car--or even to carry diapers and wipes on a car trip. I found these darling yellow baskets on sale for $1 each! (Yes, at Walmart!)
This basket contains:
Huggies Naturally Refreshing Wipes with cucumer and green tea (MY FAVORITES!!)
A&D Diaper Ointment (also a FAVORITE!)
A teething ring
And 2 other little toys
Again...EASY, and all favorites of mine that I was able to introduce to the new mama!
3. Box 'o Baby Essentials - (Oh yes, the luck 'o the Irish is strong with me today!) I packed these favorite essentials of mine into one of my FAVORITE organizer bins! I love this bin for 2 reasons: The blue color just makes me happy, and also the fact that the lid is attached and therefore cannot be lost, also makes me happy! Happy + happy = Happy indeed!!!
Inside the happy indeed bin are these favorites:
Pampers Swaddlers diapers - The most divine of all baby diapers...yes?
A small pack of my favorite Huggies Naturally Refreshing Wipes
A pack of my favorite Mam pacifiers
Teething ring
And the rubber duckie to make sure all the favorites get along inside the bin!
Pack it all up, nice and snug, close the happy blue lid, and wrap with the yellow polka dot ribbon and $1 Sweet Baby gift tag - and you have a darling gift for a new mom!
Subliminal Message: Next time you're at Walmart, why not pick up one of those fabulous glass jars, happy blue-lidded bin, or cutie pie yellow baskets--and tuck in a few baby essentials. You never know when you'll need a last-minute baby gift! Be sure to tell Walmart that MarytheKay sent ya!!! Don't worry if they say, "Who???" They're just trying to help me maintain my anonymity. I can't have people swarming me for autographs when I'm trying to grocery shop. That just wouldn't do.
