I would like to make my formal announcement here...
I have just received word that I am now a PLEDGE! I knew you would all be excited for me, so I just had to share it with you...
What kind of pledge, you ask? Why, the greatest pledge on this Earth!!!
Evidently, my dear little nephew, whom I like to call Natey Bug, was the very first to speak this pledge into existence.
It goes like this (according to Natey Bug)
"I pledge allegiance
To the Flag
Of the United States of Amary Kay..."
Isn't that the CUTEST thing ever?!!! I sure do love that little Natey Bug.
Oh, and speaking of the greatest country on this Earth...Did you get out and VOTE yet? That is one thing my grandmother instilled in me--the importance of being a part of the democratic process--getting out and VOTING!!! Sometime I'll have to tell you about that grandmother, my Gram. She was the first female mayor of a major Florida city. She was quite a woman, and quite a grandmother, too. I sure miss her. I'll be thinking of her as I vote, for sure!
