I was just talking with my husband tonight about how many people in my life right now have breast cancer. I don't know what's going on...maybe I'm just the age where that's the disease women have? I DO know one thing: I hate cancer. Don't you?
I wanted to write a special post, in honor of my friends battling the big nasty breast cancer.
Please consider this post a hug across the miles (you know...even though I am not much of a hugger!)
Consider this post a warm meal--complete with your favorite dessert--that I would cook for you and your family, if I lived closer.
Consider this post the countless Sonic drinks of your choice that I would bring you regularly...or Ginger Ale, or Sprite, or Chick-Fil-A sweet tea...whatever sounded good to you that day.
Consider this post a substitute to sitting beside you in chemo, reading you the craziest articles in People magazine to help pass the time.
Consider this post my way of saying you are not alone. I am praying for you, and can't wait to CELEBRATE when you beat this terrible disease!!!
I have celebrated breast cancer victory with my dear Jen Jen my Sheridan friend, and I have celebrated for my sister-in-law's mom Bettye, that I adore. I can't wait to celebrate for YOU.
Speaking of prayer...would you please join me today, in saying a prayer for some of my friends--in real life, and the sweet souls I have met online. (I met a brand new friend online today, and she's having surgery this week...)
Please pray today for
Christy
Myra and her daughter (both going through treatments together)
Amy
and Lisa
You brave girls, I am attaching a video that I hope makes you smile, makes you giggle a little, and hopefully reminds you that you are not alone.
As you get sick and tired of going to the hospital for treatments, and sick and tired of the sticking, the prodding, the draining, and all the other lovely stuff that goes with the territory, maybe just maybe, you can imagine that nurse or tech doing a goofy little dance for you...
I hope it makes you smile today.
