Sometimes, modern technology and raising children just tickles me.
Yesterday, I was (once again...times 1,000) refereeing an argument about who really owned that particular Silly Band. (You know--who traded who that time back then before she traded it back again before she traded it at school from you know who. Got that? Don't worry--me, neither.)
This time, it was the rainbow baseball bat Silly Band. (I know you couldn't care less...but to the sisters battling it out, that detail was of utmost importance.)
I happened to be sitting in front of my laptop when the argument started.
My 10-year-old daughter happened to be sitting a couple of feet away, in front of the home computer.
In the middle of the argument, I heard a little "ping" on my laptop...and my cell phone, come to think of it.
I didn't open up the newest e-mail right then. But, about 5 minutes later, I was just grinning.
Here is the e-mail I received in the middle of that (silly) Silly Band argument:
mom i promise the silly band is mine
Man, before I know it, we won't even have to talk around here to have an argument. We'll just start an e-mail chain.
